Cone at 00 11:30 a.m. on November 21, 1963 in the Council Chamber with the following Councilmen present: ~ Mr. Chatt, -Mrs. Lauris, Messrs. Swanson, Christensen, Deverell, Hawk; and Purdy. Mr. Crakes was ~ absent. ~ 00 1 The following tabulation was presented of bids opened November 20, 1963, on various improve- CO ment projects at MahIon Sweet Airport: Contract Cost to Amount Pro;ect and Name of Bidder Cost City Budgeted e Grading and Paving, including Storm Sewer and Sanitary Facilities W. Morris Electric Company (Low) 12,274.65 8,841. 66 11,000.00 Olson Electric Company 14,330.50 Wild ish Construction Company 15,315.85 Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that contracts be awarded to the low bidder on each of the proj ects, subject to approval of the Federal Aviation Agency, with the alternate bid of $362,574.60 of W.H.Shields Construction Company being accepted on the grading, paving, and sewers project. Roll- call vote. All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. I 2 A ~roposed agreement between the City of Eugene and the Federal Aviation Agency concerning work to be done and materials to be supplied for the relocation of the power and contrul cables for the instrument landing system (ILS) at Mahlon Sweet Field in Eugene (Agreement FA-WE-53) was presented. Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the agreement be approved and proper City officials authorized to execute the necessary papers. Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. e RESOLUTIONS 3 Resolution No. 1004 - Approving agreement with Federal Aviation Agency on relocation of Instru- ment Land System cable at Mahlon Sweet Airport, and authorizing proper City officials to execute the necessary papers, was submitted and read in full. Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris that the resolution be adopted. Rollcall vote. All counc il- men present voting aye, motion carried.
