June 1, 1965
A special meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by
Council President John Chatt in the absence of Mayor Cone immediately following the Budget Com-
mittee meeting which started at 7:30 p.m. PDTon June 1, 1965 in the Earl McNutt Room at the Eugene
City Hall. Other council members present were Messrs. Crakes, Purdy, McNutt, Anderson, and Lassen.
Councilwoman Lauris and Councilman Hawk were absent.

1 Mr. McNutt moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive the budget as presented by the budget com-
mittee and to call a hearing on June 28, 1965 on the proposed budget in the amount of $17,305,893.06.
Motion carried.
RESOLUTIONS
2 Resolution No. 1183 - Calling hearing on June 28, 1965 on withdrawing from McKenzie Water Con-
trol District areas annexed to the City on January 12, 1960 and since to date (Willakenzie area)
was submitted and read in full.

Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried.
3 Resolution No. 1184 - Calling hearing on June 28, 1965 on withdrawing from Amazon Water Control
District and Irvingdale Road District areas annexed to the City on January 7, 1964 and since to
date (Bethel-Danebo areas), was submitted and read in,full.
Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried.
4 Resolution No. 1185 - Calling hearing on June 28, 1965 on withdrawing from Eugene Fire District
No.1 and Hawkins Hill Water District area annexed to the City on April 6, 1965 (Acorn Park election),
was submitted and read in full.
Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson that the resolution be adopted. . Motion carried.
5 Resolution No. 1186 - Calling hearing on June 28, 1965 on withdrawing from Zumwalt Fire Pro-
tection District and Eugene Fire Protection District No. 1 area annexed to the City on May 10, 1965
(Bailey Hill Road area), was submitted and read in full.
Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson that the resolution be adopted. Motion carried.
