June 22, 1965
A special meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by His
Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone at 11:30 a.m. PDT on June 22, 1965 in the Council Chamber with the following
councilmen present: Mr. Chatt, Mrs. Lauris, Messrs. Crakes, McNutt, Anderson' and Lassen. Councilmen
Hawk and Purdy were absent.
Notice of the special meeting called for 11:30 a.m. PDT June 22, 1965 as signed by the Mayor and
conveyed to all Council members was received and filed.
1 Appointment. Municipal Judge - Recommendations on three candidates for the position of municipal judge
for the city of Eugene had been made by the Municipal Judge Candidate Screening Committee, and the three
e candidates had been interviewed by Council members on June 17, 1965.
Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to appoint Mr. Frank Bocci to the position of municipal judge,
effective July 1, 1965, with the starting salary of $600.00 per month. Rollcall vote. All councilmen
present voting aye, motion carried.
2 Reconstitution. Central Lane Planning Council ~ It was suggested that Resolution 1193 adopted by the
Council at its meeting on June 14, 1965 be amended with regard to representation for the city of Eugene
I on the Planning Council.
Mr. Crakes moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to appoint Councilman Anderson to represent the City on the
Central Lane Planning Council, and to amend Resolution 1193 adopted on June 14, 1965 by deleting
the name of Hugh McKinley as representative of the City and inserting the name of Lester Anderson.
Motion carried.
On motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the meeting adjourned.
