Special meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon was called to order by His
Honor Mayor Lester E. Anderson at 7:45 a.m. on June 29, 1972 in the Council Chamber with the
following councilmen present: Mr. Mohr, Mrs. Beal, Messrs. Teague and Hershner, Mrs. Campbell,
and Mr. Bradshaw. Councilmen McDonald and Williams were absent.
Special meeting was c~lled for the purpose of setting an election date to present to the voters
a revised amount exceeding the 6% limitation. The Budget Committee recommended submitting to
the voters a ~equest for $2,264,627 outside the 6% limitation.
Resolution No. 2074 - Authorizing election on July 25, 1972 to exceed the 6%
limitation by $2,264,627 was submitted.
Mrs. Beal moved seconded by Mr. Hershner to adopt the resolution. Motion carried
unanimously.
