RESOLUTION NO. 4934
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EUGENE-SPRINGFIELD
FIVE YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR SUBMISSION TO THE
FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT (HUD).
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:
The Cities of Eugene and Springfield have formed a consortium in order to be
eligible as an entitlement community to receive HOME Investment Partnership funds.
Preparation of a Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development is a federal
requirement in order for local entitlement jurisdictions to receive housing and community
development block grant funding.
B. The Cities of Eugene and Springfield have jointly prepared a Consolidated Plan
fbr Housing and Community Development in order to meet that federal requirement, a copy of
which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.
C. Public hearings were held to receive testimony on the draft Consolidated Plan by
representatives of the Springfield City Council, Eugene and Springfield CDBG committees, and
the Intergovernmental Housing Policy Board in April and May, 2005~
D. The City Council has reviewed and considered the Consolidated Plan attached
hereto on May 9, 2005.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a
Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows:
Section 1o Based on the above findings,-which are adopted herein, and the hearings held
thereon, the Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development attached as Exhibit A
hereto, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
The foregoing Resolution adopted the 11th day of May, 2005.
