Public Safety Special District
Council President: I move to direct the City Manager to
prepare an ordinance approving the proposed Metro Plan text
amendment pursuant to the Lane County proposed ordinance.

1. PUBLIC FORUM
Mayor: The Public Forum is an opportunity/or individuals to speak to the
City Council on an); city-related issues except~for those items which have
ahead); been heard b); a Hearings Official or are on tonight's agenda as a
public hearing.
Each person will have three minutes to speak. Please give your name and
address when you come to the podium. The timer and lights indicate the time
you have to speak. A yellow light will come on when you have 1,5 seconds to
complete your comments. The red light indicates the end of three minutes.
Mayor closes Public Forum and asks for comments from the City Council.

3. PUBLIC HEARING:
An Ordinance Concerning Standards for Police Uniforms; Adding Section
2.665 to the Eugene Code, 1971; and Providing for an Effective Date
Manager: Introduces topic, presents' background information.
Mayor opens the public hearing: Those wishing to speak during the Public
Hearing must submit a completed "Request to Speak" form to the information
desk, prior to the beginning of the Public Hearing. When you come to the
podium to speak, please give your name and address; you will have three
minutes to comment. There are lights' on the podium; the yellow light indicates
you have 15 seconds' to complete your comments'. The red light indicates the end
of three minutes.
Mayor: Closes the public hearing.
Mayor: Asks for questions or comments from the City Council.
4. ACTION:
An Ordinance Creating the Metropolitan Wastewater Management
Commission as an Intergovernmental Entity; and Providing For an
Immediate Effective Date
and
Adoption of Resolution 4837 Approving the Issuance of Revenue Bonds by
the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission; and Providing an
Effective Date
Council President: I move that the City Council adopt Council Bill 4900, an
ordinance creating the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission as
an intergovernmental entity.

Council President: I move to adopt Resolution 483 7 approving the issuance of
revenue bonds' by the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission; and
providing and effective date.

5. ACTION:
An Ordinance Concerning Prohibiting Smoking in Public Structures;
Adding Section 6.232 to the Eugene Code, 1971; Amending Section 6.990 of
that Code; Establishing a Sunset Date; and Providing an Immediate
Effective Date

Council President: I move that the City Council adopt Council Bill 4901, an
ordinance concerning prohibited smoking in public structures.
