Special Meeting
January 11, 1984

COUNCILORS PRESENT:
Emily Schue, Richard Hansen, Betty Smith, Freeman
Holmer, John Ball, and Cynthia Wooten.
COUNCILOR ABSENT:
Brian Obie
Informal discussion began with Richard Guske, Carol Cogswell and Katherine
Murdoch at 11:25 a.m. as there was not a quorum present at that time.
Councilor Wooten arrived at 11:30.
Since a quorum was now present, the special meeting of the Eugene City Council
began and was called by Council President Emily Schue.
Interviews for the openings on the Eugene Citizen Involvement Committee were
conducted. Discussion continued and included questions regarding the role of
neighborhood groups, the community goals processes, the role of CIC, the
City's information program and the relationship with the media.
Councilor John Ball arrived at 11:40 a.m.
The special meeting was adjourned at approximately 11:50 a.m. to the Council
