Special Session

COUNCILORS PRESENT: Cynthia Wooten, Roger Rutan, Richard Hansen, Deborah
Ehrman, Ruth Bascom, Emily Schue, Jeff Miller
COUNCILORS ABSENT: Brian Obie, Freeman Holmer
The special session of the Eugene City Council was called to order by
Council President Cynthia Wooten.
I. PLANNING COMMISSION INTERVIE~S
The following candidates were interviewed for two positions on the
Eugene Planning Commission:
1) Dorothy Anderson
e.", 2) Pat Vallerand
3) Sally Weston
4) Randy Thwing
5) Joan Ri ch
The sixth candidate, John Potter, was unable to attend the interview
session but had submitted a written response to the questions on the
agenda. The Councilors agreed to accept Mr. Potter1s written response
in lieu of interview and to postpone a decision on the appoinbnents until
December 4 in order to give Councilor Holmer an opportunity to listen
to a tape of the proceedings.
II. DOWNTOWN COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
The following candidates were interviewed for one position on the
Eugene Downtown Commission:
1) Steven Caffery
2) David Funk
3) Julie Aspinwall-Lamberts
Again, the Council agreed to postpone a decision on the appointment until
December 4 in order that Councilor Holmer have an opportunity to review
