HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/30/1977 Meeting ~1INUTES ~ EUGENE CITY COUNCIL June 30, 1977 Adjourned meeting from June 29, 1977, of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by President Eric Haws at 8:30 p.m. on June 30, 1977, in the McNutt Room, City Hall, with the following Council members present: D. W. Hamel, Ray Bradley, Jack Delay, Scott Lieuallen, Brian Obie, and Betty Smith. Tom Williams was absent. Manager noted purpose of the meeting was to pass an ordinance and resolution to set a new City budget election for August 9, 1977. C.B. 1505 - Ordering special election August 9, 1977 for submitting to voters City tax levy of $5,488,294 outside 6% limitation and declaring an emergency was read by number and title only, there being no Council member present requesting it be read in full. Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, that the bill be read the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of the Council, and that enactment be considered at A this time. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read .., the second time by council bill number only. Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, that the bill be approved and given final passage. Rollcall vote. All Council members present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 18018. Res. NO. 2702 - Submitting ballot measure to voters August 9, 1977 for City tax levy outside 6% limitation was read by number and title only. Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, to adopt the resolution. Rollcall vote. Motion carried unanimously.
