July 20, 1977
Adjourned meeting from July 20, 1977 , 12 Noon. The adjourned meeting was
called to order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller at 4 p.m. on July 20, 1977 ,
in the Mayot's Office with the following Council members present: Eric Haws,
D. IV. Hamel, Tom Williams, Jack Delay, Scott Lieuallen, Brian Obie, and Betty
Smith. Ray Bradley was absent.
The purpose of the meeting was to interview finalists for appointments to the
Eugene Renewal Agency and the Metropolitan Area Planning Advisory Committee.
Finalists interviewed for Eugene Renewal Agency were: Samuel Frear, 4734
Brookwood Street; Eleanor Mulder, 2775 Emerald; Fran Gnose, 2223 Olive Street;
Sandra Bishop, 592 West 10th; Jon Silvermoon, 47~ West 25th/lower; and
Stephen J. R. Shepard, 1941 B West 17th.
The following ballot was cast for three ERA vacancies:
Haws: Frear, Mulder, Shepard
e Hamel: Frear, Mulder, Bishop
Williams: Mulder, Gnose, Shepard
Delay: Frear, Bishop, Silvermoon
Lieuallen: Mulder, Gnose, Silvermoon
Obie: Frear, Mulder, Gnose
Smith: Frear, Mulder, Gnose
Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, that Samuel Frear
and Eleanor Mulder be appointed to ERA for 4-year terms
ending 7/10/81, and Fran Gnose be appointed for I-year
unexpired term ending 7/10/78. Motion carried unanimously.
Finalists interviewed for MAPAC were: Sandra Bishop, 592 West 10th;
Constance Holvey, 1213 West 15th Street; Jim Dunne, 1670 Best Lane; and
Douglas DuPriest, 968 Alder, #17.
The following ballot was cast for MAPAC vacancies:
Haws: Dunne, DuPriest
Hamel: Holvey, Dunne
Williams: Dunne, DuPriest
Delay: Holvey, Dunne
Lieuallen: Bishop, Dunne
Obie: Bishop, Dunne
Smith: Bishop, Dunne
e Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, that Jim DU7lne
and Sandra Bishop be appointed to ~~PAC for 3-year terms
,ending 6/30/80. Motion carried unanimously.
