Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called
to order by Council President Jack Delay 5 p.m., April 30, 1979, in the McNutt
Room at City Hall, with the following Councilors present: Betty Smith, Eric
Haws, Brian Obie, Gretchen Miller, and Emily Schue. Councilors D. W. Hamel
and Scott Lieuallen were absent.
Purpose of the meeting was to interview finalists and make appointments to the
Community Development Committee and the Citizens Involvement Committee.
Those interviewed for appointment to the Community Development Committee for
an unexpired term ending January 1, 1981, were as follows: Douglas Fish,
2195 Wildwood; Oavid Mandelblatt, 1~66 Jefferson; and Stephanie Slayton,
2860 Emerald Street.
Councilors Gast ballots for appointment.

Mr. Haws moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to appoint
Douglas Fish to the Community Development Committee
for an unexpired term ending January 1,1981. Motion
carried unanimously.
Those interviewed for appointment to the Citizens Involvement Committee were:
Daniel Anderson, 2522 Van Ness; Mary Hudzikiewicz (considered, but not present),
1915 West 28th; Gerald Lindhorst, 579 Coburg #5; Sharry Manning, 945 Lorane
Highway; Darcy Marentett, 1513 Fairmount Blvd.; Denyse McGriff, 1087 East 19th;
and Jeannie Walton, 1480 Quaker Street.
Councilors cast ballots for appointment.
Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Haws, to appoint
Mary Hudzikiewicz, Gerald Lindhorst, and Denyse
McGriff to the Citizens Involvement Committee for
an indefinite term. Motion carried unanimously.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting was adjourned.
