August 1, 1979
Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called to
order by Council Vice President Betty Smith at 10:30 a.m., August 1, 1979, in
the McNutt Room, City Hall, with the following Councilors present: Eric Haws,
D. W. Hamel, Brian Obie, Gretchen Miller. Councilors Scott Lieuallen, Emily
Schue, and Jack Delay were absent.
The purpose of the meeting was to interview finalists and make appointments to
the Eugene Renewal Agency. Also present was Don Nelson, Eugene Register-Guard.
I. SELECTION OF TWO APPOINTMENTS TO THE EUGENE
RENEWAL AGENCY FOR FOUR-YEAR TERM, ENDING JULY 10, 1983
Those interviewed for a position on the Eugene Renewal Agency, four-year
term, ending July 10, 1983, were as follows: Wallace A. Swanson, 140
Coachman Drive; Lori Loehr, 1312 Piper Lane; D. Dustin Posner, 1891 Harris
Street; Linda Bray, 1365 Lorane Highway; and Fred Greatwood, 3340 Fillmore
St reet .
e After interviewing the finalists, ballots were cast by the Councilors
present as follows:
Sm it h : Swanson, Bray.
Miller: Loehr, Swanson.
Obie: Swanson, Greatwood.
Hamel: Swanson, Loehr.
Haws: Swanson, Loehr.
It was moved and seconded to appoint Wallace Swanson and Lori
Loehr to the Eugene Renewal Agency for a four-year term, ending
July 10, 1983. Motion carried unanimously.
