Unimproved Roads -June 21, 2017 Council Work Session What was discussed — • Working definition of unimproved and unimproved roads • ORS definition of County Road and local access road • Estimated cost to improve unimproved roads within the City • How roads are transferred from County to City • Funding of improvement of unimproved road through assessments • Requirements placed on new development Unimproved Road Working Definition tow Enhanced Street Maintenance Program Bond Lane Enhanced Street Maintenance Program Lorane Highway Unimproved Roads -June 21, 2017 Council Work Session Council Motion — In furtherance of the City Council's policy choices regarding densification, Vision Zero and complete streets, any new housing development of (x) number of units or greater that is predominantly served by sub -standard road(s) triggers road improvements that will be completed with (x) years of the development's approval, paid for by the developer and/or the City, but at no cost to the neighboring property owners, that bring the road up to a condition consistent with the Council's Vision Zero Policy.
