AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION OF SECTION 4.240 OF THE EUGENE CODE,
1971, USE AND POSSESSION OF LESS THAN ONE OIJ~NCE
OF MA~JUANA; AND AMENDING SECTION 4~990 OF THE
EUGENE CODE, 1971.
THE CI-TY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Subsection (1) of Section 4.990 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by
revising the penalty for violation of Section 4.240 of the Eugene Code, 1971, as follows:
4.990 Penalties - Specific.
(1) Violation of the following sections is punishable by fine or confinement in
j ail, or both, up m the amounts indicated opposite each:

Section 2. The City Recorder, at the request of, or with the concurrence of the City Attorney,
is authorized to administratively correct any reference errors contained herein or in other provisions
of the Eugene Code, 1971, ;o the provisions added, amended or repealed herein.
