Maintenance Division Manager of the Public Works Department
AMENDING THE CITY OF EUGENE'S SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTE
MAP AND REPEALING ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-15-27.
The Maintenance Division Manager of the Public Works Department of the City of
Eugene finds that:
A. Under the provisions of Chapter IV, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of 2002 , the
City Manager is designated as the administrative head of the City specifically authorized to enforce
all ordinances of the City.
B. Section 5.686 of the Eugene Code, 1971, provides that the City Manager or the
Manager 's designee may change the priority of roadways or add new roadways to the snow
emergency route map.
C. On November 9, 2005, the City Manager issued Administrative Order No. 58-05-
12 authorizing the Public Works Maintenance Division Manager to perform the duties of the City
Manager set forth in Sections 5.677 to 5 .687 of the Eugene Code, 1971.
D. On July 1, 2019, the City Manager issued Administrative Order No. 21-19-05
reaffirming me as the Public Works Maintenance Division Manager.
E. I have reviewed the current Snow Emergency Route Map adopted by
Administrative Order No. 58-15-27 and have determined that it should be replaced by the map
attached as Exhibit A to this Order.
NOW, THEREFORE, based upon the above findings, I order that:
1. As of the effective date of this Order, the Snow Emergency Route Map for the City
of Eugene is the map set forth in Exhibit A.
2. Administrative Order No. 58-15-27 and the map adopted by that Order are repealed
as of the effective date of this Order.
