WORK SESSION: City Council Goal – Update on Homeless Initiative Action Plan City Council President: I move to adopt the homeless goal action plan which includes Project Homeless Connect, assisting the “Blue Ribbon Committee to Finance Homelessness and Housing Eugene City Council Agenda: June 25, 2007 L:\CMO\2007 Council Agendas\M070625\A070625S.doc Programs” to develop recommendations, and continuing community education related to housing and homelessness issues. WORK SESSION: Enhancing Metro Area Fire and Emergency Medical Services *Time approximate 7:30 p.m. CITY COUNCIL MEETING Council Chamber, City Hall 1.PUBLIC FORUM Mayor: The Public Forum is an opportunity for individuals to speak to the City Council on any city-related issues except for those items which have already been heard by a Hearings Official or are on tonight’s agenda as a public hearing. Each person will have three minutes to speak. When you come to the podium, please give your name, city of residence, and, for Eugene residents, your ward if known. The timer and lights indicate the time you have to speak. A yellow light will come on when you have 15 seconds to complete your comments. The red light indicates the end of three minutes. Mayor closes Public Forum and asks for comments from the City Council. 2. CONSENT CALENDAR A. Approval of City Council Minutes - April 25, 2007, Work Session - May 9, 2007, Work Session - May 16, 2007, Work Session B. Approval of Tentative Working Agenda C. Adoption of Resolution 4913 Approving a Multiple-Unit Property Tax th Exemption for Residential Property Located at 693 East 16 Street, Avenue, Eugene, Oregon (Corey Development, LLC) D. Adoption of Neighborhood Association Charter Revisions Council President: I move to approve the items on the Consent Calendar. Roll Call Vote Eugene City Council Agenda: June 25, 2007 L:\CMO\2007 Council Agendas\M070625\A070625S.doc 3.PUBLIC HEARING: An Ordinance Concerning Manufactured Dwelling Park Closures; and Amending Sections 2.1060 and 2.1086 of the Eugene Code, 1971 Manager: Introduces topic, presents background information. Mayor opens the public hearing: Those wishing to speak during the Public Hearing must submit a completed “Request to Speak” form to the information desk, prior to the beginning of the Public Hearing. Mayor: Asks for questions or comments from the City Council. 4.ACTION: Ratification of Intergovernmental Relations Committee Actions of May 8, 2007, May 22, 2007, May 29, 2007, June 6, 2007, and June 15, 2007 City Council President: I move to ratify the IGR Committee's actions as set forth in the minutes of the May 8, May 22, May 29, and June 6, 2007, IGR Committee meetings. Roll Call Vote 5.ACTION: An Ordinance Authorizing the Institution of Proceedings in Eminent Domain for the Acquisition by Condemnation of Property for Park and Open Space Land Near the Amazon Creek Headwaters in South Eugene; and Declaring an Immediate Effective Date City Council President: I move to direct the City Manager to continue acquisition negotiations on both the Beverly and Green properties and, if those continue to fail, bring the issue back to the council for reconsideration if additional development approval is granted for either property.
