REPEALING ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-17-08 REGARDING
TRAFFIC ENGINEER APPOINTMENT.
The City Manager· of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. Under the provisions of Chapter IV, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of 2002, the
City Manager is designated as the administrative head of the City, and is specifically authorized
to appoint and remove all employees ( except as otherwise provided in the Charter), and to enforce
all ordinances of the City.
B. On April 17, 2017, Administrative Order No. 58-17-08 was issued appointing
Matthew J. Rodrigues as the City's Traffic Engineer.
C. Matthew J. Rodrigues currently serves as the Executive Director of Public Works,
AIC, and the duties and responsibilities previously assigned to the City's Traffic Engineer position
are to be shared among qualified City staff, as directed by separate administrative orders .
D. Therefore, Administrative Order No. 58-17-08 should be repealed.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Manager of the City of Eugene orders and du-ects
that:
Administrative Order No. 58-17-08 is repealed as of the effective date of this Order.
