AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 20224 TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST
1, 2001~
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1, Section 7 of Ordinance No. 20224 passed by the City Council and approved by
the Mayor on February 26, 2001 is amended to provide:
Section 7, Notwithstanding the effective date of ordinances as provided in the
Eugene Charter of 1976, it is necessary for the orderly implementation of the new provisions
and procedures adopted herein that this Ordinance, except the Sections referenced in Section
6 above, become effective on August 1, 2001. Sections 9.8700, 9.8705, 9.8710, 9.8715,
9.8720, and 9.8725 as referenced in Section 6 above shall become effbctive on August 26,
2001, and Sections 7.595, 7.600, 7.605, and 7.610 of the Eugene Code, 1971 repealed as of
that date.
Section 2~ The City Recorder, at the request of, or with the concurrence of the Cky Attorney,
is authorized to administratively correct an}: reference errors contained herein or in other provis].ons
of the Eugene Code, 1971 or Ordinance No. 20224, to the provisions added, amended or repealed
herein or in Ordinance No. 20224.
Section 3. Except as amended herein to provide a different effective date, all other
provisions of Ordinance No. 20224 are affirmed.
