AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE DOWNTOWN MALL;
AND AMENDING THE SUNSET PROVISIONS OF SECTION
2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 20121.
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that
A. On June 8, 1998 Ordinance No. 20121 was passed by the Council and approved by
the Mayor adding a new Section 4.874 to the Eugene Code, 1971 authorizing the issuance of a notice
of exclusion from the downtown mall in accordance with the procedures set forth in that section.
Section 2 of the Ordinance, which was not included in the Code, provided an automatic repeal of
Ordinance No. 20121 and Section 4.874 of the Eugene Code, 1971 effective midnight, March 31,
1999.
B. It would be in the public interest to amend Section 2 of Ordinance No. 20121 to
provide that the Ordinance and Section 4.874 of the Eugene Code, 1971 be automatically repealed
effective midnight, Apri130, 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section (2) of Ordinance No. 20121 passed by the Council and approved by the
Mayor on June 8, 1998 is hereby amended to provide:
"Section 2. This Ordinance, and Section 4.874 of the Eugene Code, 1971, are
repealed effective midnight, Apri130, 2001."
Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to attach a copy of this Ordinance to Ordinance
No. 20121.
