Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance No. 19934ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~1,~ 3 `~ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR RAWAL GF ()RTES ~S EC EU 93-3a; KENNEDY, EC EU 93-ZS; ARING, EC EU 93-32; J LO, EC EU 93-2~~ FROM THE RIVER ROAD WATER DISTRICT AND RIVER ROAD PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT; RAWAL OF TERRITORY (PURE-WARD Il~VES S, C EU 93- 24~ FRAM THE ,TUNCTION CITY WATER CONTROL DISTRICT AND SANTA CLARA WATER DISTRICT; AND RAWAL aF DRY HMO EC EU 93-40} FROM THE WP PARK & RECREATION DISTRICT AND GLENWOOD WATER DISTRICT The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 4385 adopted September 13,1993, proposed: (a~ Withdrawal from the River Road Water District and River Road Parks & Recreation District the parts of the Districts annexed to the City on April 23,1993 by Native dated May 3, 1993 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission; an Apri119, 1993 by Notice dated May 3, 1993 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission; on May 17,1993 by Notice dated June 3U, 1993; and an April 1b, 1993 by Notice dated May 3,1993 of the Dane County Local Government Boundary Commission; (b) Withdrawal from the Santa Clara Water District and the Junction City Water Control District the parts of the Districts annexed to the City on May 17,1993 by Final Drder No. 963 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission dated April 1,1993; (c} Withdrawal from the Glenwood Water District and Willamalane Park & Recreation District the parts of the Districts annexed to the City on June 14,1993 by Notice dated July 1, 1993 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission, all as hereinafter more particularly described. The Resolution set Gctober 11, 1993, at 7:30 P.M,, Pacibc Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Gregon, as the time and place far hearing objections to the withdrawals, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the same period. The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene, Gregon. The City is willing to assume the liabilities and indebtedness previously contracted by Ordinance -1 the Districts proportionate to the parts of the Districts that have been annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawals. The withdrawals of the annexed territories from the Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the best interest of the City that the territories be withdrawn.
