AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE OFFENSE OF INTERFERENCE WITH
A POLICE OFFICER, AND AMENDING SECTION 4.901 OF THE
EUGENE CODE, 1911.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 4.941 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide:

interfere wi th a pol i ce officer i n the officer's 1 awf u1 performance of his or her
duties . To interfere with as used i n this section shal 1 mean any physical act,
i ncl udi ng a refusal to 1 eave a parti cut ar area i n response to a 1 awful order from
a police officer, that prevents or could reasonably be expected to prevent a
police officer from performing his or her duties. This section shall not apply
to interference with the making of an arrest.
Section ~ . The City Recorder, at the request of , or with the concurrence
of the City Attorney, is authorized to administratively correct any reference
errors contained herein or in other provisions of the Eugene Code, 1911 to the
provision added, amended yr repealed herein.
