AN oRD I NANCE CONCERNING CITY BOARDS , COMMITTEES AND
COMMISSIONS, AND AMENDING SECTION 2.013 OF THE EUGENE
CODE, 1971.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS F4ELOWS:
Section 1. Subsection ~ 6 } of Section 2 , 4l3 of the Eugene Code , 1971, i s
amended to provide
2.013 Citv Council -Boards. Commissions and Committees.
~ 6} Al 1 appointments to the boards , commissions and committees of
the city shat 1 be made as indicated i n subsections ~ 1 } and ~2} above, or as
designated by the ordinance or state 1 aw creating the board, commission or
committee . In nominating or making appointments , the counci l , mayor, or city
manager or designee shal 1 take into consideration information provided by the
citizen interest form, and shal 1 nominate or appoint only those persons who at
the time of appointment, reside within the city's urban growth boundary. If
during their term a member ceases to reside within the city's urban growth
boundary, the position shat 1 be vacated, effective as of the date a qual i fi ed
resident from within the city's urban growth boundary wi 11 i ng to serve i s
appointed to fi 11 the position , The counci 1 may waive the residency requirement
i f the counci 1 deems i t to be i n the best interest of the committee purpose and
function .
Section 2 . The City Recorder , at the request of , or with the concurrence
of the City Attorney, may administratively correct any reference errors contained
herein or i n other provisions of the Eugene Code, 1971 to the provision amended
herein.
