AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE CHANGE OF NAME
GF GGGDPASTURE LAKES L44P RGAD, LGCATED
NORTH GF AND INTERSECTING W ITH GUGDPASTURE
ISLAND RGAD.
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. Goodpasture Lakes Loop Raad is located north of, and intersects with Goodpasture
Island Road within the City of Eugene.
B. The City of Eugene has requested that the name of "Goodpasture Lakes Loop
Road" be changed to "Goodpasture Lakes Loop." All abutting property owners have concurred
that the name should be changed.
C, Changing the name of "Goodpasture Lakes Loop Road" to "Goodpasture Lakes
Loop" will provide a shorter name that will fit on mailing labels utilized by the City and others
to provide notice of hearings. The postoffice, 911, and LCOG have all indicated a preference for
a shorter name, with the postoffice indicating the name "Goodpasture Loop" would be its first
choice, and "Goodpasture Lakes Loop" its second choice.
D. The City's Plannuag Commission held a public hearing on the request that the name
of Goodpasture Lakes Loop Road be changed to Goodpasture Lakes Loop, on Apri111,1996, and
no opposition to the proposed name change has been received. The request has been initiated by
the City, and the Council has been advised that the proposed change of name is supported by the
postoffice, 911, and LCGG.
E. Notice of a public hearing to be held on the 13th day of May, 1996 at the Council
Chambers, City Hall, Eugene, Gregon, at 7 ; 34 0' clock p . m. was duly published in the Register
Guard, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, at least once during the week
immediately preceeding the hearing, to-wit, on May 5,1996. At the public hearing the Council
considered information from apartment residents in the area who felt "Goodpasture Lakes Loop"
was sti11 too long and requested the name be changed to "Goodpasture Loop. " The Council
concurred with that request.

THE CITY aF EUGENE DGES GRDAIN AS FaLLaWS:
Section 1. The name and designation of Goodpasture Lakes Loop Road, located north of,
Grdinance -1
and intersecting with, Goodpasture Island Road within the City of Eugene is hereby changed to
Goodpasture Loop.
Section 2. The City Manager is requested to cause appropriate signs to be installed
indicating that Goodpasture Lakes Laop Road, as described in Section 1 above, is now
Goodpasture Loop.
ec ion .That certified copies of this ordinance shall be hied with the Lane County
Clerk, the Lane County Assessor, and the Lane County Surveyor.
