A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT JURISDICTION OVER COUNTY
ROAD NO. 2113 (LEO HARRIS PARKWAY), NOW LOCATED WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, BE
TRANSFERRED TO THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON, WITHIN A
SPECIFIED PERIOD OF TIME.

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT JURISDICTION OVER COUNTY
ROAD NO. 2113 (LEO HARRIS PARKWAY), NOW LOCATED WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, BE
TRANSFERRED TO THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON, WITHIN A
SPECIFIED PERIOD OF TIME.
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. The City Council finds it necessary, expedient, and in the best interests of the City
to acquire jurisdiction over a certain county road, to-wit, County Road No. 2113 (Leo Harris
Parkway), located inside the corporate limits ofthe City of Eugene, to the same extent as it has over
other public streets and alleys of the City.
B. The Board of County Commissioners of Lane county, Oregon has the authority under
the provisions ofORS 373.270 to release jurisdiction over county roads within the limits of the City
of Eugene, and should be requested to do so.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a
Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows:
Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are incorporated herein by reference and
adopted, the City Council of the City of Eugene, finds it necessary, expedient, and in the best interest
of the City to acquire jurisdiction, to the same extent as it has over other public streets and alleys of
the City, over County Road No. 2113 (Leo Harris Parkway) which is located within the City, and is
more fully described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Resolution - 1
Section 2. The City Council directs that a copy ofthis Resolution be forwarded to the Board
of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon, which Board is hereby requested to release
jurisdiction ofthe above described road to the City of Eugene in accordance with the provisions of
ORS 373.270.
Section 3. Upon the receipt by the City Manager, within 180 days from the date this
Resolution is adopted, of a certified copy of an order of the Board of County Commissioners of Lane
County, Oregon releasing jurisdiction of the above described road to the City of Eugene, the City
shall have the same control, power and jurisdiction over the described road as it has over all other
streets and alleys within the City.
Section 4. In the event the Board of County Commissioners fails to enter the order referred
to in Section 3 above within 180 days from the date this Resolution is adopted, the request and
authorization contained herein shall terminate as though this Resolution had not been adopted.
The foregoing Resolution adopted this 12th day of February, 2001.

EXHIBIT A
County Road No. 2113
(Leo Harris Parkway)
An asphalt concrete roadway with curb and gutter on both sides
and a 12 foot concrete sidewalk (bikeway) adjacent to the curb on
the southerly side beginning at Centennial Blvd. approximately
200 feet East of Patterson Slough, running southeasterly
approximately 1687 feet to within approximately 350 feet of the
existing pedestrian bridge; a cul-de-sac is to be constructed at the
eastern terminus. Also, being that same strip of land as described
on Reel No. 94, Page No. 352 of Lane County Deed Records,
Lane County, Oregon.
