HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 20095ORDINANCE N0. 20095 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING PATRON USER FEES AND AMENDING SECTION 3.810 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971. THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3,810 of the Eugene Code, 19?1, is amended to provide: 3.810 Patron User Fee. ~1 } Fvr purposes of sections 3,810 and 3.812, the fallowing words and phrases mean: Admission fee. The dollar amount charged directly or indirectly, whether or not received, for entry to an event. Event, A performance, presentation, demonstration, exhibition, or meeting at the Hult Centerforthe Performing Arfs or Cuthbert Amphitheater. Pe~. rson. As defined in subsection fie} of section 3.??0 of this chapter, ~2} For the privilege of attending a ticketed event there is hereby assessed to each attendee a patron user fee in an amount as established by the city manager pursuant to the provisions of section 2.020 of this code. The patron user fee shall be separately stated on each ticket. ~3} The following are exempt from the patron user fee: ~a} Owner's tickets as designated in the licensing agreement; fib} Licensee's promotional tickets as designated in the licensing agreement; ~c} Any admission established by the city manager or the manager's designee to be a complimentary admission; and ~d} Resident company youth educational events, as determined by the city manager or the manager's designee, occurring during the period from January 1,1998 to June 30,1998. Section 2, The City Recorder, at the request af, or with the concurrence of the City Attorney, is authorized to administratively correct any reference errors contained herein or in other provisions of the Eugene Code, 19?1, to the provisions added, amended or repealed herein, Passed by the City Council this 10th day of November, 1997 ~ /~ City Recorder Approved by the Mayor this 10th day of November, 19 7 ~.
