Re: Street Name Change -Larkwood Lane to St Clair Lane
Dear Mr. Jennings:
The property owners who live on Larkwood Lane would Tike the name of their
street changed to St Clair Lane. The request is to change the name from the point
where Larkwood Lane intersects Fox Hollow Road to the footpath. The street is
difficult to find because it is easily confused with Larkwood Street, which does not
connect to it. This has raised fears that emergency vehicles might not find the street
quickly enough. The police took an hour to respond on one occasion. It is also
diff icult f or delivery vehicles and f riends to f ind. In addi~.on, Larkwood Lane is not
marked with any sign. After resolving. the name confusion, the owners will seek to
get a sign erected.
I have twice attempted to contact Jon Walker, the owner of the undeveloped lot
number 1300, which abuts Larkwood Lane. He has not responded even to a certified
letter. The other owners would like to go forward with the request. Perhaps he
would respond to a letter from the City.
Enclosed please f ind:
-An applica~on for a street name change
-A .sheet with the signatures of the property owners.
-Copies of the certified letter and return receipt sent to Jon walker.
-A vicinity map showing the location of the proposed street name change.
-A detailed street plan showing right-of ways and abutting property lines.
-The f il.ing fee of $445.
