AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL FRAM
THE GLENWOOD WATER DISTRICT AND
WILLAMALANE PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT
THAT PART OF THE DISTRICTS ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL
GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON

The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution
No. 4160 adopted January 2Z, 1990, proposed withdrawal from
the Glenwood Water District and the Willamalane Park and
Recreation District that part of the Districts annexed to the
City on December 7, 1959 by Final order No. 9~0 of the Lane
County Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter
described.
The Resolution set February 12, 1990, at 7:30 p.m.,
Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the
withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of
the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places
in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene,
oregon.
The City is willing to assume the liabilities and
indebtednesses previously contracted by the Districts
proportionate to the part of the Districts that have been
annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal.

The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the
Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and
applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan
Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is
in the best interest of the City that the territory be
withdrawn.

THE CITY of EUGENE DDES ORDAIN AS F4LLaWS:
Section i. The territory in Lane County, vregon, annexed
to the City of Eugene on December 7, 1959, as bounded and
described as follows:
A parcel of land located in Glenwood,
generally between the Southern Pacific
Railroad, I-5 and Henderson Avenue, T18S,
R3W, S3, Map 13, Parcels 100, 200, 700,
1500, 1501, and a portion of Harrison
Street, as more particularly described on
Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference ~vik, EC
EU 59-31~ .
is hereby withdrawn from the Glenwood Water District and
Willamalane Park and Recreation District, effective July 1,
1990.
Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a
copy of this ordinance to each of the above referred to
Districts.
