AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM
THE RIVER ROAD WATER DISTRICT AND RIVER
ROAD PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICTS THAT
PART OF THE DISTRICTS ANNEXED TD THE CITY
OF EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL
GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON

The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution
No. 4158 adopted January 22, 1994, proposed withdrawal from
the River Road Water District and the River Road Park and
Recreation District that part of the Districts annexed to the
City on November 8, 1989 by the Lane County Local Government
Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set February 12, 1990, at 7:30 p.m.,
Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the
withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of
the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places
in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been sv published in the Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene,
oregon.
The City is willing to assume the liabilities and
indebtednesses previously contracted by the Districts
proportionate to the part of the Districts that have been
annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal .
The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the
ordinance - l
Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and
applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan
Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is
in the best interest of the City that the territory be
withdrawn.
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed
to the City of Eugene on November 8, 1989, as bounded and
described as follows:
A parcel of land located in the River Road
region of North Eugene, North of Iinoop
Lane, East of Mayfair Street, South of
Hawthorne Avenue, T17S, R4W, 524, Map 33,
Parcel 4800, 2S~ Hawthorne Street, as more
particularly described on Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference ~4' Leary, EC EU 89-29~ .
is hereby withdrawn from the River Road Water District and
River Road Parks and Recreation District, effective July 1,
1990.
Seotion 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a
copy of this Ordinance to each of the above referred to
Districts.
