AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM
THE SANTA CLARA WATER DISTRICT, THAT PART
OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED T4 THE CITY OF
EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT
BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON JANUARY 23, 1990

The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution
No. 4159 adopted January 22, 1990, proposed withdrawal from
the Santa Clara Water District that part of the District
annexed to the City on January 23, 1990 by the Lane County
Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter
described.
The Resolution set February 12, 1990, at 7:30 p.m.,
Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the
withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of
the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places
in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene,
Oregon.
The City is willing tv assume the liabilities and
indebtednesses previously contracted by the District
proportionate to the part of the District that has been
annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal.
The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the
District is consistent with the fundamental principles and
Ordinance - 1
applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan
Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is
in the best interest of the City that the territory be
withdrawn.

THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN As F4LL~'WS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Dregon, annexed
to the City of Eugene on January 23, 1990, as bounded and
described as follows:
Tax Lot 6004, Assessor's Map 17-04-02-2 4,
located on the south side of Spring Creep
Drive, between River Road and Scottsdale
Street, mare particularly described as:
Lot 13, Nelllie Van Gardens, as platted
and recorded at page 20, volume 33, Lane
County Oregon Plat Records, in Lane County
Oregon, Smith, EC EU 89-30}.
is hereby withdrawn from the Santa Clara Water District,
effective July 1, 1994.
Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a
copy of this Ordinance to the above referred to District.
