AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM
THE RIVER ROAD WATER DISTRICT AND RIVER
ROAD PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT, THAT
PART of THE DISTRICTS ANNEXED To THE CITY
of EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL
GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON MAY 2 1,

The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution
No. 4182 adopted June 11, 1990, proposed withdrawal from the
River Road Water District and the River Road Park and
Recreation District that part of the Districts annexed to the
City on May 21, 1990 by Final order Na. 925 of the Lane County
Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter
described.
The Resolution set July 9, 1990, at 7:30 p.m., Pacific
Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon,
as the time and place for hearing objections to the
withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of
the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places
in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene,
Uregon.
The City is willing to assume the liabilities and
indebtednesses previously contracted by the Districts
proportionate to the part of the Districts that have been
annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal.
Ordinance - 1
The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the
Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and
applicable policies of the Eugene--Springfield Metropolitan
Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is
in the best interest of the City that the territory be
withdrawn.
NoW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY aF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FQLLgWS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed
to the City of Eugene on May ~1, 1990, as bounded and described
as follows:
A parcel of land located in the general
vicinity of Maxwell Road and the Northwest
Expressway, including Tax Lat 4306,
Assessor's Map 17-04-15-0 0, portions of
Northwest Expressway, Tax Lot 4900,
Assessor's Map 17-04-15-0 0, portions of
Maxwell Road and Labona Drive, and
Southern Pacific rights of way, and mare
particularly described on Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference. River Road Church of Christ,
EC EU 90-06}.
is hereby withdrawn from the River Road Water District and
River Road Park and Recreation District, effective July 1,
1991.
Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a
copy of this Ordinance to each of the above referred tv
Districts.
