AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ~IITHDRAWAL FROM
THE RIVER ROAD HATER DISTRICT AND RIVER
ROAD PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT, THAT
PART OF THE DISTRICTS ANNEXED T4 THE CITY
of EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL
GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON MAY 16,

The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution
No. 4183 adopted June 11, 1990, proposed withdrawal from the
River Road Water District and the River Road Park and
Recreation District that part of the Districts annexed to the
City on May 16, 1990 by Notice of the Lane County Local
Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set July 9, 1990, at 7:30 p.m., Pacific
Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon,
as the time and place for hearing objections to the
withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of
the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places
in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene,
Oregon.
The City is willing to assume the liabilities and
indebtednesses previously contracted by the Districts
proportionate to the part of the Districts that have been
annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal.
The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the
ordinance - 1
Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and
applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area
General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the
best interest of the City that the territory be withdrawn.

THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN As FaLLO~13:
Section i. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed
to the City of Eugene on May 21, 1990, as bounded and described
as follows:
A parcel of land located in the River Road
region of North Eugene, north of Elkay
Drive and west of Hoover Lane ~T175, R4W,
524, Map 23, Parcel 7704, 181 Elkay
Drive, and more particularly described on
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference. ~Tuski, EC EU

is hereby withdrawn from the River Road Water District and
River Road Park and Recreation District, effective July 1,
1991.
Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a
copy of this Ordinance to each of the above referred to
Districts.
