AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM
THE SANTA CLARA WATER DISTRICT, THAT PART
OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED To THE CITY OF
EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT
BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON MAY 21, 1990

The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution
No. 4185 adopted June 11, 1990, proposed withdrawal from the
Santa Clara Water District that part of the District annexed
to the City on May 21, 199o by Final order No. 92d of the Lane
County Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter
described.
The Resolution set July 9, 1990, at 7:34 p.m., Pacific
Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon,
as the time and place for hearing objections to the
withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of
the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places
in the City far the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene,
Oregon.
The City is willing to assume the liabilities and
indebtednesses previously contracted by the District
proportionate to the part of the District that has been
annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal.
The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the District
is consistent with the fundamental principles and applicable
ordinance - 1
policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General
Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the best
interest of the City that the territory be withdrawn.
Now, THEREFORE,
THE CITY of E~TGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, aregon, annexed
to the City of Eugene on May 21, 1990, as bounded and described
as follows:
A parcel of land located in the Santa
Clara region of North Eugene, east of
River Road and Scenic Drive, north of
Clairmount, south of Nottingham, Parcel
8800, Assessor's Map 17-04-01-0 0, and
more particularly described on Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference. Henson, EC EU 90--07 ~ .
is hereby withdrawn from the Santa Clara Water District,
effective July 1, 1991.
Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a
copy of this Ordinance to the above referred to District.
