AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE ONE AND TWQ FAMILY DWELLING
SPECIALTY CODE AND ELECTRICAL SPECIALITY CODE; AMENDING
SECTIONS 8.050 AND 8.015 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1911; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8.050 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to pro-
vide:

adopted and violation thereof shal 1 constitute an offense against the city.
Section ~. Section 8.015 of the Eugene Code, 1911, is amended to pro-
vide:

~1} The State of Oregon 1990 Edition Oregon Electrical Safety
Specialty Code is hereby adopted and violation thereof shall constitute an
offense against the city.
~2} When a term listed in section 103 of the electrical code is
defined differently in section 8.001 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the defini-
tion in section 8.001 shall be used unless the context in which the term is
used clearly requires use of the section 1a3 definition.
Section 3. That the matters cantai ned herein concern the public welfare
and safety and therefore, an emergency i s hereby declared to exist, and thi s
Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its adoption by the City
Council and approval by the Mayor, retention by the Mayor for mare than ten
days, or readoption over a mayoral veto by two-thirds of all members of the
Council,
