AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE METROPOLITAN AREA PLANNING
ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND JOINT PLANNING COMMISSION
COMMITTEE; AND AMENDING SECTION 2.013 OF THE EUGENE
CODE, 1971.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The table of Board, Commimssion and Committees set forth in
Subsection ~1~ of Section 2.413 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by delet-
ing the Metropolitan Area Planning Advisory Committee therefrom, and adding
the Joint Planning Commission Committee in alphabetical order therein, to pro-
vide:

commissions and committees of the city with the number of members and names
of the appointive authority indicated thereafter, together with the term
and the authority for such board, commission or committee:

Section 2. The Joint Planning Commission Committee created herein sha] 1
assume the responsibilities previously assigned to the Metropolitan Area
Planning Advisory Committee far conducting a citizen involvement program for
the Metropolitan Plan and is designated as the citizen's committee for co-
ordinating and soliciting citizen input on the update process for purposes of
future updates of the Metropolitan Plan. The Joint Planning Commission Com-
mittee shall also be responsible for monitoring the citizen involvement pro-
cess regarding amendments to and implementation of the Metropolitan Plan. In

addition to its citizen involvement responsibilities, the Joint Planning Com-
mission Committee shall pravide guidance for intergovernmental studies and
projects and shall pravide a forum at the planning commission level far re-
solving intergovernmental planning issues, including proposed Metropolitan
