AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING USE OF CITY STREETS; AMENDING
SECTION 5.044 OF THE EUGENE GODS, 1971; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5.040 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by adding
a new subsection ~n~ thereto, to provide:

exercise the fol~~owing duties by administrative actions:
~n~ Grant permission far use of particular streets by one or
more horse drawn wagons or carriages on a regular or isolated basis.
Section 2. That the matters contained herein concern the public welfare
and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by the City
Council and approval by the Mayor.
