RIVER ROAD PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT THAT PART OF THE DISTRICTS ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON AUGUST 4, 1989 SHALL/MOORE, C EU 89-o8j. The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 4147 adopted September ~5, 1989, proposed withdrawal from the River Road Water District and the River Road Park and Recreation District of that part of the District annexed to the City on August 4, 1989 by Final Order No. 914 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described. The Resolution set October 23, 1959 at 7:34 p.m. , Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be published once each week far two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the same period. The Native has been so published in the Register Guard and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene, Cregan. The City is willing to assume the liabilities and indebtednesses previously contracted by the Districts propor- tionate to the part of the Districts that have been annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal. ordinance - l The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the best interest of the City that the territory be withdrawn. NOWT THEREF4RE~ THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed to the City of Eugene on August 4, 1989, as bounded and described as follows: A parcel of land located in the River Road region of North Eugene, on Knoop Lane between River Road and Walnut Lane, and South of Hawthorne Avenue, as more particularly described on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference Hall/Moore, C EU 89-08~. is hereby withdrawn from the River Road Water District and River Road Parks and Recreation District, effective July 1, 1990. Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a copy of this ordinance to each of the above referred to Districts.
