AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL
. FROM THE RIVER ROAD WATER DISTRICT AND
RIVER ROAD PARK AND RECREATIQN DISTRICT,
THAT PART aF THE DISTRICTS ANNEXED To THE
CITY of EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL
GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY CQMMISSION oN AUGUST
22, 1989 BROWN, EC EU 89-23~.
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution
No. 4146 adapted September 25, 1989, proposed withdrawal from
the River Road water District and the River Rvad Park and
Recreation District of that part of the District annexed to
the City on August 22, 1989 by Notice of the Lane County
Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter
described.
The Resolution set October 23, 1989 at 7:34 p.m.,
Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the
withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of
the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public
places in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene,
Oregon.
The City is willing to assume the liabilities and
indebtednesses previously contracted by the Districts propor-
donate to the part of the Districts that have been annexed
to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal.

The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the
Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and
applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan
Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is
in the best interest of the City that the territory be
withdrawn.
NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES oRDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon,
annexed to the City of Eugene on August 22, 1989, as bounded
and described as follows:
A parcel of land located in the River
Road region of North Eugene, East of
River Road, North of Fir Lane, T17S, ROW,
525, Map 12, Parcel 2300, 355 River Road,
as more particularly described on Exhibit
~'A", attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference Brown EC EU 89-23}.
is hereby withdrawn from the River Road Water District and
River Road Parks and Recreation District, effective July 1,
1990.
Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a
copy of this ordinance to each of the above referred to
Districts.
