AN ORDINANCE PR(]~IDING FOR WITHDRAWING FROM
THE GLENWOOD WATER DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY,
OREGON, THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER NO. 815
OF THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GO~TERNMENT BOUNDARY
COMMISSION ON APRIL 2G, 1984.
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No . 3911
adopted April 8, 1985, proposed withdrawal from the Glenwood
Water District of that part of the District annexed to the City
on April 26, 1984 by Final Order No. 816 of the Lane County
Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set stay 15, 1985 at 12:04 o'clock noon,
Pacific Daylight Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in
Eugene, Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections
to the withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and
place of the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places
in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register
Guard and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene ,
Oregon.
The City desires to assume liability of the District propor-
tionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to
the City,
No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed
territory from the District, and it is in the best interest
of the City that the territory be withdrawn.
NOW, THEREFORE,

THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed
to the City of Eugene on April 2G, 1984, as bounded and described
as follows
As described on Exhibit "A", attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference ~Booth~-

is.hereby withdrawn from the Glenwood Water District,
Section 2. The matters contained herein concern the public
welfare and, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance shall became effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
