AN ORDINANCE AUTHDRIIING THE CITY MANAGER
To EXTEND THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE TEMPORARY
AMBULANCE RULES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The City Counci 1 of the City of Eugene finds that;
Pursuant to the authority of Section 3,015 of the Eugene
Code, 1971, the City Manager adopted Temporary Ambulance Rules
on November 19, 1984, As provided in that section and the Rules,
they were effective for a period of 180 days from their adoption.
Permanent rules have not been pramul gated , and it would
be in the public interest to authorize the City Manager to extend
the effective date of the Temporary Ambulance Rules far an additional
ninety day period.
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FoLLOYS:
Section 1, Based upon the above findings, which are incorw
porate herein, and notwithstanding the requirements of Section
3,015 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Manager is authorized
tv extend the effective date of the Temporary Ambulance Rules
adopted on November 19, 1984 for an additional n i nety days to
August 1~, 1985,
Section ~. That the matters contained herein concern the
publ i c welfare and safety, and therefore, an emergency i s hereby
declared to .exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by
the Mayor,
