AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FoR WITHDRAWING FRAM
THE GLENWQOD WATER DISTRICT of LANE CaUNTY,
OREGQN, THAT PART of THE DISTRICT ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER No. 823
of THS LANE CQUNTY LOCAL GQVERNMENT BOUNDARY
COMMISSION ON APRIL 4~ 1985.
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No, 3920
adapted May 29, 1985, proposed withdrawal from the Glenwood
water District of that part of the District annexed to the Cit
Y
on April 4, 1985 by Final order No. 823 of the Lane Count Local
Y
Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set June 19, 1985 at 12:00 o'clock noon,
Pacific Daylight Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in
Eugene , 4r egon , as the time and place for hearing objections
to the withdrawal ~ and directed that notice of the time and
place of the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places
in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register
Guard and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene,
Oregon
The City desires to assume liability of the District propor-
tionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to
the City.
No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed
territory from the District, and it is in the best interest
of the City that the territory be withdrawn ,
NOW, THEREFQRE.
1 -Ordinance
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES URDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregon, annexed
to the City of Eugene on April 4, 1985, as bounded and described
as follows:
As described on Exhibit "A", attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference Fischer
A/Z 84.2, T.L. 1900 and 2000, Assessor's
Map 18-03-~03-1 2, located on the east side
of Henderson S treet between 21st Avenue
and 22nd Avenues .
is hereby withdrawn from the Glenwood dater District,
Section 2. The matters contained herein concern the public
welfare and , therefore , an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayar.
