An ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described
street, to-wit;
As described on Exhibit A, attached hereto

Section 1. The City Council of the City of Eugene herein
initiates the vacation proceedings on its own authority without
petition or consent of the property owners, except as provided
by statute, of the above described street.
Section 2. A hea r i ng shall be held upon the proposal to
vacate the street as herein pravided, and the hearing shall
be held on the 19th day of March, 1986 at noon, Pacific Standard
Time at the Council Chambers at City Hall, Eugene, Oregon, at
which time all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions
with regard to the vacation, and at said time the Council will
provide for the vacation or deny such vacation, and in case the
vacation is made, will provide and make provision for any damages
sustained by local assessment.
Section 3. The City Recorder is hereby directed to immediately
publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper
published in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, notice of the proposed
vacation. The notice shall give a description of the area to be
vacated as herein set out; state the date when this Ordinance was
passed, the name of any petitioners petitioning for the vacation,
and the date when the petition, together with any objections or
ordinance -- 1
remonstrances which may be made in writing and filed with the
Recorder of the City of Eugene prior to the date of the hearing,
will be heard and considered.
Section 4 . The City Recorder shall f arthwith, and within
five days of to r the f i r s t publication of the notice post, or
cause to be posted, at or near each end of the proposed vacatian
a cagy of the foregoing, which shall be headed "Notice of Street
vacation", and which notice shall be posted in at least two
conspicuous places in or on the area proposed to be vacated.
The pasting and the first day of publication of the notice
shall be not less than twenty--eight X28} days before the time
set for hearing.

EXHIBIT "A"
That portion of East 15th Avenue lying North of Tax
Lots 6700 and 6701 ~ Assessor's Map 17-03--33-3-4, more
particularly described as follows:
The southerly one--half of that portion of 15th Avenue
East lying easterly of the northerly projection of the
west line Lot 6, Block 36, Amended Plat of Fairmount
has platted and recorded in Book 2 of plats, page 12,
records of Lane County, aregon~ and westerly of the
east line of said Plat.
RBSBRVING herein an easement for public utility purposes
over, under and across the above described property and
the right to enter thereon for the purposes of construction,
installation, maintenance and repair. Trotter, SV
