AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING ASSESSMENTS FOR PAVING 6TH AVENUE FROM 1100
FEET WEST OF GARFIELD STREET TO 600 FEET WEST OF GARFIELD STREET;
AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 192$9, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that;
On October l7, 1984, there was passed by the Council and approved by the
Mayan, Ordinance No. 19289, levying an estimated assessment against the
properties listed on the Assessment Roll attached thereto for paving 6th Avenue
from 1100 feet West of Garfield Street to 600 feet West of Garfield.
Final costs of the project have been calculated, and pursuant to the
provisisons of Section 7.240 if the Eugene Code, 1971, the assessment roll
attached to Ordinance No. 192$9 should be amended to reflect the reduced
assessments for the assessment accounts.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Sectian 1. Pursuant to the provisiins of Section 7.240 of the Eugene
Code, 1971, Ordinance No. 19289 passed by the Council and approved by the Mayan
an October l7, 1984, is hereby amended by correcting the Assessment Roll
attached hereto to reflect the reduced assessments for the remaining accounts
listed therein.
Section 2. The finance officer is directed to make the above correctians
to the docket of city liens and to send a corrected notice of assessment to the
property owners set forth in Section l above.
Section 3. Except as herein specifically amended, all other provisions of
Ordinance No. 19289 and the assessments provided for therein remain in full
farce and effect.
Sectian 4. It is necessary that the above correctians be made as soon as
possible, and theref are, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
Ordinance sha11 be effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council
and approval by the Mayor.
