HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 19427~ ~ t ORDINANCE N0. ~ q AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING ASSESSMENTS FOR PAVING AND STORM SEWERS IN ALLEY BETWEEN PATTERSON STREET AND HILYARD STREET FROM 22ND AVENUE TO 23RD AVENUE; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 19345, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: On August l2, 1985, there was passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor, Ordinance Number 19345, levying an estimated assessment against the properties lasted on the Assessment Roll attached thereto for paving and storm sewers an alley between Patterson Street and Hilyard Street from 22nd Avenue to 23rd Avenue. Final costs of the project have been calculated, and pursuant to the provisisans of Section 7.240 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the assessment roll attached to Ordinance Number 19345 should be amended to reflect the reduced assessments far the assessment accounts. THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7,240 of the Eugene Code, 1911, Ordinance Number 19345 passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor on August 12, 19$5, is hereby amended by correcting the Assessment Roll attached hereto to reflect the reduced assessments for the remaining accounts listed thereon. Section 2. The finance officer is directed to make the above corrections to the docket of city liens and to send a corrected notice of assessment to the property owners set forth in Section 1 above. Section 3. Except as herein specifically amended, all other provisions of Ordinance Number 19345 and the assessments provided for therein remain in full farce and effect. Section _4. It is necessary that the above corrections be made as soon as possible, and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
