I '1 ~1 3 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING ASSESSMENTS FOR ALLEY PAVING BETWEEN FERRY STREET AND PATTERSON STREET FROM 17TH AVENUE TO 18TH AVENUE; AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 19156; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: On June 27, 1983, there was passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor, Ordinance No. 191St, levying an estimated assessment against the properties listed on the Assessment Roll attached thereto for alley paving between Ferry Street and Patterson Street from 17th Avenue to l5th Avenue. Final. casts of the project have been calculated, and pursuant to the. provisions of Sections 7.235 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the Council has by motion declared a deficit in the assessment for Accounts No. $30006-0040 and 830006-0050 and established December 1, 1986, as the time for hearing objections to the deficit assessment. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7.240 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the assessment roll attached to Ordinance No. 19156 should be amended to reflect the reduced assessment for the remaining account, together with new Accounts Na. $30006-0041 and $30006-0051. THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are incorporated herein, and pursuant to the provisions of Sections 7.235 of the Eugene, Cade, 1971, a deficit assessment is hereby declared for Accounts No. $30006-0040 and 530006-0050 and Ordinance No. 19156 passed by the Council on June 27, 1983 and approved by the Mayor on June 27, 1983, is hereby amended by correcting the assessment roll as attached hereto to reflect such deficit assessment. Section 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7.240 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, Ordinance 19156 passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor on June 27, 19$3 is hereby amended by correcting the Assessment roll attached hereto to reflect the reduced assessments far the remaining accounts listed thereon. Section 3. The finance officer is directed to make the above carrectians to the docket of city liens and to send a corrected notice of assessment to the property owners set Earth in Sections 1 and 2 above. Section 4. Except as herein specifically amended, all other provisions of Ordinance No. 19156 and the assessments provided for therein remain in full force and effect. Section 5. It is necessary that the above corrections be made as soon as possible, and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council. and approval by the Mayor.
