AN ORDINANCE REGARDING ENFORCEMENT OF SOLAR
ACCESS REGULATIQNS; AMENDING ORDINANCES NOS.
19400, 19401, AND 19402; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 25 of Ordinance No. 19400, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on August 13, 1986 is amended to
read and provide:
Section 25. Effective Date. This ordinance shall
be effective on January 1, 1987, however, when issuing
building permits the city building official need not
consider or apply the solar setback requirements of this
Ordinance or any amendments thereto until July 1, 198'.
Section Z. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 19401, passed by the
Count i1 and approved by the Mayor on August 13 , 1986 is amended to
read and provide:
Section 2. This Ordinance sha11 become effective
on January 1, 198', however, when issuing building
permits the city building official need not consider or
apply the solar setback requirements of this Ordinance
or any amendments thereto until July 1, 198. Except as
herein amended, all other provisions of Ordinance No.
19329 remain in fu11 force and effect, to which the City
Recorder is requested to append this Ordinance.
Section 3. Section 2 of ordinance No. 19442 passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on August 13, 1986 is amended to
read and provide:

Section Z. This Ordinance shall become effective
on January 1, 1987, however, when issuing building
permits the city building official need not consider or
apply the solar setback requirements of this Ordinance
or any amendments thereto until July 1, 1987. Except as
herein amended, all other provisions of Ordinance No.
1$8$1 remain in f ul1 force and effect, to which the City
Recorder is requested to append this Ordinance.
Section 4. That the matters contained herein concern the
public welfare and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this Ordinance sha11 become effective
immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval. by
the Mayor.
