IQ ~ ~~ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING ASSESSMENTS FOR PAVING AND SANITARY SEWERS ON ROOSEVELT BOULEVARD FROM BERTELSEN ROAD TO MAPLE STREET; AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 19296, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: On November 19, 19$4, there was passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor, Ordinance No. 19296, levying an estimated assessment against the properties listed on the Assessment Ro11 attached thereto for paving and sanitary sewers on Roosevelt Boulevard from Bertelsen Road to Maple Street. Final costs of the project have been calculated, and pursuant to the provisions of Sectian.7.240 of the Eugene Cade, 1971,, the assessment roll attached to Ordinance Na. 19296 should be amended to reflect the reduced assessments far the assessment accounts. THE CrTY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1.240 of the Eugene Code, 1971, Ordinance No. 19296 passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor on November 19, 1984, is hereby amended by correcting the Assessment Roll attached hereto to reflect the reduced assessments for the remaining accounts listed thereon. Section 2. The finance officer is directed to make the above corrections to the docket of city liens and to send a corrected notice of assessment to the property owners set Earth in Section ~. above. Section 3. Except as herein specifically amended, all other provisions of Ordinance No. 19296 and the assessments provided for therein remain in full force and effect. Section 4. It is necessary that the above corrections be made as soon as possible, and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council. and approval by the Mayor. RECITALS: The City Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. ~_3_-__, adopted ~_'~[~ 19 84 ,determine to PAVE STREET AND CONSTRUCT SANITARY SEWER ON ROOSEVELT BOULEVARD FROM BERTELSEN ROAD TO MAPLE STREET. The ~ity Council authorized the execution of a contract for the construction of the local improvements on Y ~ 19 8~a The estimated cast thereof is ascertained, and the initial amount to be assessed in accordance with applicable provisions of the Eugene Code, 1971 has been determined to be: Item 1.
