AN ORDINANCE CDNCERNING THE JURISDICTIDN OF
PORTIONS OF GZLHAM ROAD AND wILLAKENZIE ROAD;
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 19454; AND DECLARING AN'
EMERGENCY. .
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:
On March 9, 1987, Ordinance No. 19454 was passed by the City
Council and approved by the Mayor, requesting that jurisdiction
over portions of Gilham Road and willakenzie Road be transferred
to the City of Eugene.
Section 3 of that Ordinance should be amended to extend the
time period for delivery to the City rianager of a copy of an order
of the Board of Cammissianezs of Lane County releasing jurisdic-
tion of the portions of Gilham Road and willakenzie Road described
therein.
NOw, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. Based upon the. above findings, which are incor-
porated herein by reference, Section 3 of Ordinance No, 19454
passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor an March 9,
1987 is amended tv read and provide:
Section 3, Upon receipt by the City Manager before
July 31, 1987 of a certified copy of an order of the
Board of ,County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon
releasing jurisdiction of the above described portions
of Gilham Road and willakenzie Road to the City of
Eugene, the City shall have the same control., power and
jurisdiction over the streets as it has over all other
streets and alleys within the City of Eugene,

Section 2. That the matters contained herein affect the
public welfare and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage by the City Counc~,l and approval by
the Mayor.
