HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 19515ORDINANCE N0. 19515 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING ZONING AND PERMITTED USES; AMENDING SECTIONS 9.439, 9.450, AND 9.452 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The matrix set forth in Section 9.439 of the Eu ene Code g 1911 is amended to add in alphabetical order therein, "Travel a envies" as g an outright use in the GO General Office District: 9.439 Uses. In addition those uses permitted in the I-1 district as contained in sections 9.443 and 9.444 shall be permitted in the I-2 district, except restaurants financial inst'- tutions, and non-accessor offices ~ ~ ~ y not d7rectly permitted ~n the I-2 d~s- trict. When located in the I-2 district, the uses set forth in section 9.444 need not be in an industrial park unless specifically re aired to be located q therein in this section. ~f} Ballet and gymnastic training school acadamies. Section 9.452 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by add- ing anew subparagraph ~c} thereto, to read and provide: 9.452 Buildin s and Uses Permitted Conditiona1l In addition to the buildings and uses permitted conditionally listed in sections 9.492 to 9.502, the hearings official may grant a conditional use ermit far an of the fallowi ~ ~ p y ng bu~ld~ngs and uses in accordance with the procedures set forth in sections 9.696 to 9.722: ~a} Uses that could be hazardous, obnoxious, or offensive by reason of odor or biological agents. ~b~ Rescue missions not in existence on January 1, 1984. ~c} Athletic facilities and sports clubs. Bu~ld~ngs and uses ex~st~ng and legal]y permitted or permitted canditional1 as 1~sted in the zonin ordinance an y f g January 27, 1982 are exempt from sections 9.612 to 9.626 perta~n~ng to non-conforming uses. This exem tion is limited to the devela ment si ~ ~ ~ p p to on which the bu~ld~ngs or uses existed on January 2l, 1982. Section 4. That the matters contained herein concern the ublic welfare p and safety, and in order to insure the orderly im lementation of these '- p prove lions, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by the Cit Council and a y pproval by the Mayor.
