AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING ZONING AND PERMITTED USES;
AMENDING SECTIONS 9.439, 9.450, AND 9.452 OF THE
EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The matrix set forth in Section 9.439 of the Eu ene Code

1911 is amended to add in alphabetical order therein, "Travel a envies" as

inafter specifically provided, subject to the general rovisions exce d o

and performance standards set forth in this ordinance. In addition those
uses permitted in the I-1 district as contained in sections 9.443 and 9.444
shall be permitted in the I-2 district, except restaurants financial inst'-
tutions, and non-accessor offices ~ ~ ~

trict. When located in the I-2 district, the uses set forth in section 9.444
need not be in an industrial park unless specifically re aired to be located

Section 3. Section 9.452 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by add-
ing anew subparagraph ~c} thereto, to read and provide:
9.452 Buildin s and Uses Permitted Conditiona1l In addition to the
buildings and uses permitted conditionally listed in sections
9.492 to 9.502, the hearings official may grant a conditional use ermit

y ng bu~ld~ngs and uses in accordance with the procedures
set forth in sections 9.696 to 9.722:
~a} Uses that could be hazardous, obnoxious, or offensive
by reason of odor or biological agents.
~b~ Rescue missions not in existence on January 1, 1984.
~c} Athletic facilities and sports clubs.

Section 4. That the matters contained herein concern the ublic welfare

and safety, and in order to insure the orderly im lementation of these '-

lions, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall
become effective immediately upon its passage by the Cit Council and a
y pproval
by the Mayor.
