AN ORDINANCE ELECTING TO RECEIVE STATE REVENUE SHARING
FUNDS PURSUANT TO SECTION 221.77a OF OREGON REVISED
STATUTES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Eugene, Oregon, for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1989, elects to receive distribution of funds from State Revenue
Sharing pursuant to Oregon Revised Statutes Section 221.770.
Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby directed to file a copy of
this Ordinance with the Executive Department of the State of Oregon as
prescribed by Oregon Revised Statutes Section 221.770.
Section 3. Because election to receive State Revenue Sharing funds far
the fiscal year ending June 30, 1989 is required by law to be made by the
City Gounc~l by enactment of an ordinance and filed with the Executive
Department of the State offOregon, it is necessary for the welfare of the
City of Eugene that said.f~ling be made without delay, and an emergency
~s hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
fu11 force from and after its passage by the Gity Council and approval by the
Mayar.
