AN ORDINANCE .LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR paving ~on Oas Lamp Drive from Surrey Lane to
approximately 350 feet east and south; pedestrian way, bike path, sanitary sewer and
storm sewer construction 1150 feet north of Royal Avenue between Surrey Lane and Williams
Street
in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
RECITALS:
The City Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. 3~, adopted JU1 22
19~, determine to pave Streets on Gas Lamp Drive from Surrey Lane to approximately 350 feet
east and south; construct pedestrian way, bike path, sanitary sewer and storm sewer
1150 feet north of Royal Avenue between Surrey Lane and Williams Street ..;

The local improvements have been constructed in accordance with the contract and applicable
provisions of the Eugene City Code~and the cost thereof and amount to be assessed have been ascertained to be:

,The City Council has established the method of calculating local
improvement assessments in Sections 7.170 through 1.180 of the Eugene City
Code; and '
Notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed owners
of the hereinafter designated parcels of real property has been heretofore duly
and regularly given ~n compliance with the provisions of Chapter 1 of the
Eugene City Code, and the City Council has heard any and al l ~ protests ,
objections and remonstrances thereto and has fully considered them.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.` That the total cast of paving. on Gas .amp Orive from
Surrey Lane to approximately 3a0 feet east and south; pedestrian way; bike
path, sanitary sewer and storm sewer construction 1150 feet north of Royal
Avenue between Surrey Lane and Williams Street
in the City of Eugene, is the sum of '~ 60 461 7 , aforesaid, which
i s by this ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter
described i n the amounts set opposite, respectively.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon,
does hereby determine and assess each lot and part of lot being in Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon, to-wit:

Section 3. That the City Council of the City of Eugene does
hereby determine that each parcel of land ar lot hereinbefore described
is specifically benefitted to the extent of the assessment hereinbefore
set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to
be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land
against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs
the City Recorder to enter in the Jacket of City Liens, a statement thereof
containing the fallowing:
First: A description of each lot, part of lot nr acreage properly
liable for such improvement. ~
Second: The name of the owner ar reputed owner thereof, or that
the name of the owner is un~snawn.
Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering
the same in the said docket of City Liens.
Section 4. That these provisions concern the public welfare
because of the necessity to promptly record and ascertain the amount of
each assessment and the lien arising therefrom, and the need to promptly
notify affected property owners, and therefore an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
